Academics
Northwest Christian School takes great pride in its commitment to academic excellence. With a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum, our school places a strong emphasis on providing students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities necessary for success in today’s world. Our dedicated and highly qualified teaching staff work tirelessly to create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love for learning and personal growth. We offer a wide range of educational programs, including advanced placement courses, specialized electives, and extracurricular activities to cater to the diverse interests and needs of our students. Our commitment to academic excellence is reflected in consistently high standardized test scores and a track record of sending our graduates on to top colleges and universities. Northwest Christian School is more than just a place of learning; it is a community that encourages intellectual exploration, character development, and lifelong academic achievement.
- We are a primary school and consist of a foundation phase (Gr RR to Gr 3) and an intermediate phase (Gr 4 to Gr 7). We have three classes per grade. Gr R consists of about 20 pupils per class and from Gr RR to Gr 7 we range from 15 – 25 per class.
- We belong to ISASA (Independent School Association of South Africa) as well as ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). We have received our International Accreditation through ACSI
- We follow the CAPS curriculum and find that when children go on to high school (IEB, Cambridge as well as State schools) they slot in easily with other curriculums.
- We have a fully equipped media centre, computer centre, robotics centre and have introduced Google Chrome Books for class work and research into some of our lessons.
